AMSCAR is Growing (2026 Update)

As Alberta's medical schools grow, so does AMSCAR. We're excited to announce that beginning this year, the Alberta Medical Students' Conference & Retreat will expand into two regional conferences: Northern AMSCAR and Southern AMSCAR! To reflect the exciting introduction of the Northern Alberta Medical Program and the Southern Alberta Medical Program.

This evolution allows us to better serve our growing community of medical students across the province, while staying true to what AMSCAR is all about: wellness, networking, clinical skill-building, and community.

While we're branching into two conferences, our commitment to fostering collaboration and engagement across all Alberta medical students remains unchanged. We believe that a stronger, more connected medical community both north and south means better care for all Albertans.

Southern AMSCAR in Banff will be held from October 16-18, 2026.

Northern AMSCAR‍ ‍in Jasper will be held from November 6-8, 2026.
